Build flows faster in the classic designer

A free Chrome extension that opens your flows in the designer you choose, and adds more than 30 time-savers to the classic Power Automate designer: a large expression editor, action search, go to error, every run in one list, and more.

Classic designer

Jump to each failed action of a run, also to the failed iteration of a loop.

The parts of a flow that cost you time

Long expressions, large flows, failed runs. The extension makes each of them a click instead of a search.

Flow runs

Go straight to the error

Open a failed run and select Go to error. The designer opens the blocks around the failed action and shows its error, outlined in red.

  • Counts every failed action: Go to error 2/5
  • Switches a loop to the iteration that failed
  • Edit in flow on a card takes you to that action in the editor

Large flows

Search every action, and what is inside it

Find an action by its name, or by what it contains: a site address, a list name, an expression. Collapsed loops, conditions and switches open on the way.

  • Find usages of a variable or an action's output
  • Review lists common mistakes Flow checker misses

Every run in one list

The run history shows about 50 runs at a time. Filter runs puts every run that Power Automate keeps (28 days) in one table: filter and search them, also on what the trigger received, and resubmit or cancel several at once.

  • Columns for any trigger input
  • How long ago each run started
  • Docked next to the designer while you edit

My flows

Every flow in one list

My flows shows 50 flows at a time, and its search only looks at names. Filter flows puts all of them in one table: which flows use SharePoint, which are off, which need a premium license.

  • Filters on status, trigger, connectors, solution and premium
  • A search through every column
  • Export to CSV

Expressions

An expression editor you can read

The classic editor is one line of 330 pixels. The extension makes it 760 × 200 with word wrap, colored brackets, formatting over several lines, and dynamic content right next to it.

  • Drag it to your own size; it is remembered
  • Ctrl+Enter to confirm

See why a Condition was true

A Condition in a run only says true or false. The extension shows which of its rules made it so, with the value of each side in that run.

  • Full expressions writes every rule out, no hovering
  • Also for a Filter array, item by item, and a Do until

Questions

Before you install

Does it work in the new designer?

The switch opens your flows in the designer you choose, classic or new. Filter runs, Filter flows and the wider columns of My flows work with both Soon in 4.0. The other features are made for the classic designer.

Does it change or save my flows?

Only when you ask it to, such as when you paste an action or restore a version, and it never saves on its own: you select Save, as always. A run is resubmitted or cancelled only after you confirm.

Can I use it at work?

It needs no account and sends nothing to us or anyone else: it works in your browser and talks to Power Automate with your own sign-in. Some companies only allow extensions their IT department approved; they can allow it by its Chrome Web Store page.

What if Microsoft changes the designer?

Check features in the extension's popup shows whether each feature still works with the designer you have today. A feature that stops working can be switched off on its own, and the rest goes on working.

How do I turn it off?

Every feature has its own switch in the settings window. To turn everything off at once, use the power button at the top of the popup Soon in 4.0: Power Automate then works exactly as Microsoft made it, and your settings stay.

Is it really free?

Yes. No account, no trial and no paid version.

Your flows stay yours

The extension works in your browser. Nothing is sent to the developer or anyone else. Filter runs, Filter flows, the inputs and outputs window and Flow versions talk to Power Automate itself and the Dataverse of your environment, with your own sign-in. Your settings are stored with Chrome sync.

My actions, and copies of a flow outside a solution if you choose to keep them, stay in your Chrome profile, with any keys in them unencrypted. Soon in 4.0

It changes a flow only when you ask it to, and only saves when you select Save.

This website counts its visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics: no cookies, no personal data and no tracking across sites, only totals such as page views, the site a visitor came from, the browser and the country. The extension itself has no analytics.
